Up for sale is a nice sounding, first grade, vintage four-string Domra instrument with flame maple back.
The instrument was made in 1992 by A.I. Makeev (present top tier Tchaikovsky factory luthier) and is in great condition despite its old age! It was recently re-fretted by our luthiers and 100% ready to play!
This is a quality instrument and plays as good (if not better) than modern high end 4 string domras out there.
The sound of the Domra is - bright, loud, full, and open at the same time.
Makeev is considered is one of the best current domra luthiers in Russia today, this domra is one of his early "first grade" domra examples.
His domras has won numerous prizes at several all-Russian luthier contests.
The construction is rock solid - there are no "breathing" cracks, constructively it's very tight built and you will feel the quality right at the moment when you take it in your hands. The woods used are - spruce top, highly flamed maple back.
You can definitely perform as a solo artist with this domra or in the orchestra.
As mentioned above - the instrument is 100% ready to play, has low action strings, and does not demand any investments.
For more photos - you can check our official website as eBay only allows us to upload 10 photos. Google "pupsishupsi" and you will find us.
This instrument was also checked by maestro Alexander Tsygankov himself (my dad, who is People's Artist of the Russian Federation and a professor at Gnesin's Academy of Music). It's needed to say that my father's main domra he plays on stage for many years is also made by A.I. Makeev!
My dad is always auditioning our instruments prior to we put it on eBay and I'm very picky when it comes to construction quality as I was dealing with the production of boutique custom electric guitars for all of my life. So you get that double control on our side.
Check out the fantastic domra tenor we listed on our website.
Send me a message if you have any questions about this beautiful Domra. The case is not included in an auction but I'll pack very well. If you'd like a hard case - I can get you a high-quality AMC case at the manufacturers' price of 150$.
