The air connection from Russia is re-established right now but there still can be shipping delays because of the Covid situation. We may use cheaper EMS Express !ONLY! if the buyer agrees to wait from 2 to 10 weeks for delivery. Sometimes the shipping to the US takes just one week and sometimes it way longer. From May 1st, all our instruments sent by DPD (UPS) / FedEx Express with shipping time reduced to 1-2 weeks worldwide. We partially cover the shipping cost/packaging but please expect the shipping price to be around 180-200$ depending on where you live.
Dear buyers! Here's your chance to purchase a great-sounding, super high-quality Russian modern balalaika prima N1 made by A.Tsygankov workshop. This balalaika was completed in May 2021 by our top luthiers' team and the level of this balalaika allows the player to perform both as a solo performer or an orchestra player.
The body made of a "sparkle" maple, the neck is rosewood, the body top wood is Karelian spruce. The neck has a modern thinner profile and will be comfortable for both adults and children with very little effort required to keep the chords pressed. This balalaika also has a very special "heelless" design and because of that, you can reach high notes with ease. The fretwork and overall built quality are amazing. It's as accurate as if was made by a CNC machine, but it's a 100% handmade instrument.
All instruments that we sell are chosen and selected by maestro Alexander Tsygankov himself (my dad, who is People's Artist of the Russian Federation and a professor at Gnesin's Academy of Music).
