Vintage 3 string Russian DOMRA folk instrument made by "Shikhovo" luthier
Up for sale vintage, nice sounding three-string Domra instrument with flame maple back.
The instrument was made in 1992 by Uchastnov luthier (Shikhovo/VHO/Tchaikovsky factory luthier) and is in good condition despite its old age! It has quite a bit of finish wear but there are no wooden or construction issues and 100% ready to play!
The luthier who made this instrument was a member of "Shikhovo" luthiers team back at the time of this domra production.
There were no "grades" back then, but I guess it's student or 1st grade instrument with flamed maple back - it's a basic, but good quality build.
We set the price really low on this one - for this price you can only get a modern mass produced domra made of low quality woods or even laminate body. But instead - you're getting an instrument made by Shikhovo luthier that can bring you years of joy playing it.
As mentioned above - the instrument is 100% ready to play, has low action strings, and does not demand any investments.
If you just learning to play Russian domra - this instrument might be a good choice for you!
This instrument was also checked by maestro Alexander Tsygankov himself (my dad, who is People's Artist of the Russian Federation and a professor at Gnesin's Academy of Music). It's needed to say that my father's main domra he plays on stage for many years is also made by A.I. Makeev!
